I am always in awe of how well some non-native English speakers have mastered my language, especially the pronunciation. For every pronunciation “rule” there seem to be dozens of exceptions. Sometimes I laugh at my poor husband when he pronounces a word wrong, but I always assure him that I am laughing at the sound only – there is no way I would ever expect him to know how to say some of our crazy words if he’s never heard them spoken before!
