IWA general meeting

Have you ever wondered why learning sometimes seems easy and sometimes more difficult?  This may depend partially on your particular learning style. Come along to this presentation to find out how you tend to perceive and process information as well as how you react in a learning situation. I will start with some of the background information to learning styles theory and then we will take a look at the questionnaires developed to determine learning style preferences. The talk will finish up with strategies helpful to the different learner types and a discussion of how to move out of your own personal ‘comfort zone’ in order to expand your capabilities when tackling a new language or other task.
