This video has so many things I love: organizations teaching children, cross-border collaboration, and – my mom, Dr. Susan Whitcomb. She founded Haitian Educational Initiatives after the 2010 earthquake. Listen carefully as she explains what HEI does and what keeps children from completing school, as she talks to the Haitian community in Connecticut! (Hint: can you guess her former profession based on how slowly and carefully she speaks?)
Very interesting and moving what your mother and her helpers did!!!
I didn’t get the web address properly for donating …..maybe you can help me?
By the way, you have the same smile like your mother….so cute!!
Bye
Brigitte
Thanks, Brigitte – I am so proud of her! The website is http://www.haiti-edu.org/help/ – but I believe that you can only donate through PayPal from outside the U.S. (We are not as up-to-date with Bank Transfers as Austrians are!)
Oh…I am so sorry to hear that…I don’like to join PayPal realy….I’ll think about another possibility.
A try to answer your question…..I think your mom is a teacher ….at the university….. maybe language for foreigners or so?
Bye….have a nice evening
Brigitte
