Obama Pardons 2012 Turkeys, Cobbler and Gobbler
This is perhaps one of the more bizarre American traditions. Each year, the president “pardons” 2 turkeys (of the 45 million who will be eaten on Thanksgiving) and grants them life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness on Mount Vernon, George Washington’s former estate outside Washington, D.C. It’s always good for a media chuckle – but I’m wondering how cute this is to the people on death row?
